Hilary Davidson

Historian and Author

Hilary Davidson is a dress historian, curator and archaeological consultant. She is Associate Professor and Chair of MA Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, and an honorary associate at the University of Sydney. After publishing and teaching extensively in her field, Dress in the Age of Jane Austen came out in 2019 with Yale University Press. Jane Austen’s Wardrobe followed in 2023.
