Janine Barchas

Janine Barchas holds the Chancellor’s Council Centennial Chair in the Book Arts at the University of Texas, where she teaches Austen with an e in Austin with an i. She is the author of the award-wining _The Lost Books of Jane Austen_ and the creator behind the _What Jane Saw_ website. Most recently, she has been spending time in England working on a new project with illustrator Isabel Greenberg; their highly original graphic biography called _The Novel Life of Jane Austen_ will appear in April of 2025.
