Deputy Director, Chawton House
Dr Kim Simpson (@AmatoryAnon) is Deputy Director at Chawton House, a heritage site once owned by Jane Austen’s brother Edward, and now home to a unique collection of works by early women writers. She holds a PhD in eighteenth-century women’s writing (amatory fiction) from the University of Kent, and worked between the University of Southampton and Chawton House for 5 years, before making the move to the heritage sector full-time in 2021.
