Susan Allen Ford is Editor of JASNA’s journals Persuasions and Persuasions On-Line and is Professor of English Emerita at Delta State University. She is also on the board of the Jane Austen Collective and participates in its programs the Jane Austen Summer Program, Jane Austen & Co., and Jane Austen’s Desk. Susan has published essays on Austen and her contemporaries, gothic and detective fiction, and Shakespeare, and her book, What Jane Austen’s Characters Read (and Why), was published by Bloomsbury in 2024.
