Rick Atkinson is a historian and the author of eight books. His most recent work is The British Are Coming: The War for America, Lexington to Princeton, 1775-1777, the first volume in his Revolution Trilogy. He has also written the Liberation Trilogy, about the role of the U.S. military during World War II in the Mediterranean and Western European theaters. His many awards include Pulitzer Prizes in history and journalism.
